Car Accident

On May 15th while coming back home I was in a very bad car wreck. A man in a truck pulled out in front of me and I hit him going 70 miles an hour with cruise control on. It was an older man and he was not wearing his glasses. The man is fine and did not get hurt at all. I however have two broken legs. My car is destroyed. The front of the car is completely gone. I can’t walk for 6 weeks and can’t drive for another 6 months. The wreck was ruled the other mans fault and not mine. My right leg is worse than my left leg because my right leg was trying to stop the car and the pressure broke it in three places. I had bone exposed. It was very painful when they pulled me out of the car. I have never in my life experienced pain like that and never want to again. I was put in an ambulance on the way to the Palestine hospital and on route they decided to put me on a helicopter and fly me to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler Texas. I did not enjoy the helicopter ride at all. When I arrived at ETMC they immediately put me in for surgery. The surgery went fine. The doctors lined everything back up quite nicely in my legs. Now I am on my 4th week and I am doing very well. I can move my ankles and I have feeling in my feet. I am doing a lot better than most people who end of with the same injuries that I have. From what I have been told, I should have been injured a lot worse than I am. My Physical Therapy person saids that he is surprised at how good I am doing. I have a another doctors appointment on June 11th. I am hoping that this will be a good visit and that they remove the stitches that are in my legs. They also had to put plates and screws in my legs. But, I am doing ok. I have my bad days and my good days. Thanks.
